UKCA MARKING UPDATE

The UKCA approval marking covers most products marketed in the UK that previously required CE marking, known as the New Approach. The new UKCA mark came into effect on January 1, 2021. However, to comply with the new regulations, companies can use the CE mark until 2023/01/01.
In line with the UK's most recent legislation, products are compliant if they are under EU requirements before January 1, 2023, including existing tests and certifications of testing. This rule applies until December 31, 2027, allowing manufacturers to bear the UKCA marking without relying on a conformity body recognized by the United Kingdom. Upon the device's certificate expiration, the device will be submitted to a recognized body in the UK for a new certificate of conformity.
